“ We've been to Sel twice. We loved it! We lived in France for a year, and we found this food just as lovely. We esp loved the outdoor seating under a pergola with white light strings and outdoor space heaters. The cocktails were good. The entrees were excellent. Desserts were great. I think Sel would be wise to remodel the front area and make it nicer. It is expensive but so worth it! ”

“ Decent brunch spot. I love sitting outside on the patio with my dogs, rain or shine since it is covered. The food is ok. The last time I dined here my eggs Benedict was ok, nothing to write home about. I had came a previous time and my poached egg was overcooked 3 times in a row which was a huge bummer since that's my favorite part, but this time it was perfect. I'm not a fan of the bubbles they use for mimosas. Overall, will continue dining here for brunch due to the nice ambiance. ”

“ Le Sel Bistro is probably our top eatery from our latest trip to Washington. Please note that the hours listed on Yelp are currently incorrect - we arrived around 8 on a Friday, only to find that they open at 9. I submitted an edit to Yelp weeks ago so hopefully that changes soon. We took a quick walk to Wright Park and came back just after 9. What a beautiful little cafe at the top of Tacoma. It's cozy and warm, with a stunning view from their garden seating. I'd recommend a reservation if possible, as the place filled up very quickly. It was hard to choose what to eat as everything on the brunch menu sounded amazing. We settled on: - Hardwood Smoked Bacon Omelet ($23) - Side of cheddar grits. Large serving (bigger than it looks!) of perfectly cooked bacon in a perfectly cooked omelet. Cheddar grits were so rich, and surprisingly, paired incredibly well with the fresh french press. Have a sip of coffee after the grits for amazing bright flavors. - Local Foraged Mushrooms Omelet ($23) - Side of french onion soup. Again, lovely serving with very fresh mushrooms, alongside a huge bowl of delicious, rich, melty soup. I had a latte for $8, which to me, wasn't worth the price compared to the 2-cup press, for flavor or value. Our friend gave a thumbs-up to the Ruby Oolong. Prices seem high, but for the meal quality and cozy environment, I'd say they're quite justified. Our server was attentive and helpful as well. Le Sel Bistro would be first on my list when we visit Tacoma again. ”

“ ok.... YUM!!! I would definitely come back but for a fancier brunch/lunch since it is a little pricey for an everyday kind of thing for me (expect to pay about $20-$24 per dish). The food is so good and they use fresh and local mushrooms which I LOVE. They have everything that you'd want on a fancier brunch menu like eggs benny, quiche, croque madam, extravagant omelettes, french onion soup, bacon and brussels. Then menu really has something for everyone so it's perfect for a group brunch. Of course they do have drinks! They have outdoor/covered patio seating as well as indoor seating so take your pick (so long as you have reservations anyway -- this place is popular!) Parking isn't great so come a little early, you may have to circle a couple times. ”

“ We came her for Easter Brunch. I made the reservation a few days earlier on their website and got an email confirmation. When we got there, the restaurant did not have my reservation on file. The email I got was non descript and did not have the name of the restaurant. I am almost positive I made the reservation at this location, but in the moment I was not sure anymore. We almost decided to go somewhere else, but the staff was so nice and friendly that they did what they could to squeeze us in. I felt bad, I didn't want to take anyones reservation, but staff was very sweet and managed to get a us a 2-person table inside. Our waitress was very bubbly and fun. To drink we got a 1/2 carafe of mimosa (I recommend doing this rather than a full carafe so you can try different flavors!). They had many flavors. I can't remember the first flavor we got, but the 2nd one we did was a raspberry lemonade. My husband got the filet mignon Benedict and I had the banana french toast. Both were very delicious. The restaurants is very quaint. Even from inside you have a decent view of the water. When you walk into the restaurant, the front is a little coffee shop where you can just get coffee and some pastries. Walk a little bit further back and you will run into the hostess stand. Our waitress told us for brunch their cuisine is more french/new orleans inspired but during the week it is a bit more french traditional. I can't thank the staff enough for make adjustments to fit us in. It will made our Easter! ”

“ Le Sel is a breakfast experience. This isn't a diner, it's a fantastic bistro. Plan some time and prepare to have a relaxing, delicious time, with an amazing view of Tacoma. It was chilly day so we decided to sit inside. We ordered and got a large French press. Food takes a while, but it is absolutely worth the wait. I had the bacon and cheese sandwich. It was a flavorful delight. The cheese blend was smooth and savory. I want to thank the team for making sure everyone in our group had something perfect to eat! The only thing I would change would be to add more coffee. I could drink the 4 cup press by myself. Great location, great service, great food! ”

“ Quaint little cafe overlooking the Port of Tacoma, great vibes and has outdoor seating on a covered patio with portable heaters. Parking along the side of the road (angled) or a free small parking lot (walking distance) only a few minutes away. Service was just okay. We had reserved for an outside table but were seated inside by the indoor fireplace. After informing our waitress of being misplaced, she was gracious to let us wait a few minutes in order to snag a table outside by the view. We waited an hour for our food to come out (we went at 1:30pm) from the moment we sat down at our initial table, including transferring to our outside table. My only recommendation is that the waitress should have turned our cups right side up and poured us water; we did it ourselves, but I felt like it would've been courteous to do that as a server. Food was yummy. We went for brunch, and I ordered the Pork Belly Benedict. My only concern with my poached eggs is that it was little overdone. I wanted the "yolk porn" (oozing yolk) but got a medium boiled poached egg. Other than that, I devoured my plate! Would come back here for another brunch though! ”

“ I was at Le Sel Bistro for a brunch experience, and it was amazing! My friends and I had a reservation here for seating in their garden area. The "garden" is more of an outdoor covered patio, but it was so cozy. Peek-a-boo views of the water, heaters, and even blankets provided on every chair in case you got cold - the ultimate setup! I tried the Honey Latte, which was delicious and served with a crystallized honey stick to stir into your latte. Our table also shared bites of the French Onion soup, which was absolutely delicious. I definitely could've had a bowl of my own. For my main, I got the Eggs Benny which was cooked to perfection! I wasn't a huge fan of the potatoes, I feel like they could've been a little softer, but at that point I guess I'm getting a little nitpicky. :) All in all, a delicious experience with a cozy vibe. I'd definitely come back! ”
